Meet the founder
Yemi Rose
Founder & CEO, OfColor
Yemi has spent decades working at the intersection of financial services, communications and fintech — and he arrived at this nexus of expertise by virtue of a singular path. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Yemi became fluent in the subtleties of color and classism in a fiery society. He moved to the U.S. to attend college, first getting his footing at a community college in Florida and then transferring to Cornell University. He achieved this while absorbing, for the first time, the brutal realities of being Black in America.
The racial disparities of wealth, security, and access pivoted the focus of his studies and shaped the mission of his entire career. He founded OfColor in 2019 steadfastly determined to improve the financial lives of employees of color.

Prior to Rayze, Carl played in the NFL for seven seasons. One afternoon, while volunteering at a juvenile delinquent center with his Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates, he came up with the idea for an app that would shed light on local volunteering opportunities. From that idea came Rayze: an all-in-one platform that connects nonprofits, businesses, and individuals. From volunteering to mobile corporate matching campaigns, there is something for everyone. Rayze makes it easier and more rewarding than ever to give back to those in need.
